Weather Forecast
Wednesday, Nov. 24 - 6:00am Update

Bitterly cold temperatures are in the forecast tonight. A cold arctic airmass has an icy grip on the Pacific Northwest and will be slow to loosen it. Overnight temperatures will fall into the teens and twenties on the westside of the Cascades. Even the Oregon Coast will see the thermometer plunge below freezing. Central and Eastern Oregon will have dangerously cold temperatures. Lows will drop to between -5 degrees to - 15 degrees.

Today's high in Portland was 30 degrees. It's the coldest high temperature in November in a quarter century!

Today we'll begin to see a slow rise in temperatures. Highs should climb to the middle 30s. Skies will remain partly cloudy. Thanksgiving day a much milder air mass will reach the Pacific Coast. High temperatures will actually be close to normal, and rain is possible late in the day. More seasonable weather can be expected through the weekend and early next week.

Tonight's low 19

Wednesday's high 34

Stay warm
