stockguy99, I am cutting the lawn so the pause wasn't because I was ignoring the Q. To the contrary. Kurtzberg wrote the AAP article in 07' to protect her public experiment claiming public storage was best for altruistic reasons. Well, Kurtzberg finally changed her mind when all of that fed money wasn't going to continue to promote the public experiment. The FDA issued its brightline ruling. It states and insurance policies today state that blood from a family trumps donated blood. Why? Costs. If you need it from someone else then you must take anti-rejection meds for life. Another complication is GVHD death. Viacord/Viacell told the public experts the private storage was best right before the 05' Stem Cell Act Bill became law. Proof is in clinical trials. Well, here we are in 2010 with proof. Pharma sued the privates claiming patent infrindgement. Viacord/Corcell debunked it with a 'prior art' claim in the USA. The international community throughout the lawsuit claim years ago. That's a bit of the history. Private storage is best and AHIP knows it.
