Well, the first one was LDPE/HDPE (hydrocarbon-only) but seemed to be in limited supply at ten loads/month. If you have to pick up smaller quantities, you will probably get it cheaper. You can pick up a carton of plastic every other week from my house and I'll only charge you $0.01/lb if it helps you.

The second one was mixed plastic--which you strayed from the hydrocarbon-only plastic criteria. That was also for customers to pick up.

Do you have any that match all the criteria? Keep looking. Eventually you will find an ad and I won't have any comments. If you look at Craigslist and filter for newer cars under $100, you'll probably find a few...that won't be what you expected when you actually call.

And for the 40 tons of PP foam that you found, I'm officially out of this conversation. You can keep searching for whatever you think will work. Although I might actually pay you $0.07/lb to see you haul 40 tons of PP foam across the country--how many ounces of that will fit on a truck anyway? Volume-wise, you may be able to insulate every house in Niagara once you move it all.

Not a good example.

WEEE means waste electrical and electronic equipment, and the plastics recovered from this source typically contain brominated flame retardants (BFR) and antimony trioxide. Both are toxic, and Sb2O4 is a suspected carcinogen. They are expensive to remove in recycling and are not desirable in fuels. So this type of plastic waste is nearly worthless.
