After 16 months of unemployment, I am proud to announce that I am no longer unemployed.
I had my second interview today with the District Manager and Regional Manager of VALU HOME CENTER at 10 AM today.
At the end of this interview they told me that they had other second interviews to conduct and that they would be calling to let me know one way or the other...
At around 6PM tonite, I got the call.
I'M HIRED!
I will be starting out as a Floor Manager and if all goes well will be an Assistant Manager within 90 days!
The unemployment has been nice, but is getting old ... and as we all know it is uncertain even IF unemployment will be extended.
What you have read about and heard about is true... getting a job nowadays isn't easy! But at last I have mine!
Do NOT get yourself unemployed, if you can avoid it at all. The time off is nice, but the getting back to work is UGLY!
I hope that the economic recovery continues and brings all the unemployed back to work.
Meanwhile, I am HAPPY! And feel lucky! I have a JOB AGAIN!
