Remember - in a Lethal Challenge - the dosage is intended to be lethal, overkill. The virus is intended to overload the ability of the mouse's immune system to mount an effective response.
It was a lethal test. We covered this last week. The mice were administered 10 times the lethal dose, a viral load purposely extremely difficult to survive. Before treatment, lung tissue and other respiratory damage alone all but guarantees death.
