Good addendum. Tax law and vaccine liability are issues that affect several Big Pharma, but MRK is affected to a greater degree than most. SGP obtained a very high proportion of revenue from outside the US, and now MRK has to figure out how to deploy that money without incurring a burdensome tax hit.
