I understand. My thinking is a little different. Check my last message. My router is a 802.11 B (B as in boy). Very old and maybe more powerful than newer versions. My new Sony laptop and Samsung blue-ray disc player can only connect without WEP encryption. With WEP encryption I can only connet to my old PC using a D-Link PC card. This is why I am considering an upgrade.
