Where will you be using it??? From where ever you place the router, you will get reception in an 80 foot circle from the access point (the router). So 40 feet in all directions. If you are going to need to push the signal further, or go in to second floor rooms, you should also get a range extender at the same time you get the router. Is is REALLY simple to use. Once the router is hooked up, you just choose the spot for the range extender, plug it in, and push one button. It interfaces with the router automatically.
