Um, it looks like mostly it has been the funds doing year end (for them) tape painting, and also end of month. Help by the fed, and terrorism worries, and in my opinion a resulting stock market proping.

But we were just trying to decide if the funds have to take the closing price, or can take the high of the day as the "mark up" for their end of month/year numbers.

Whoa, this War of the World's radio broadcast is excellent. Got to turn the computer off now to get rid of the squeal on the radio. Later.

Seneca, I see you are a free member and this was your first post. You are right that we don't allow political discussions on this "no politics" thread which is reserved for discussing how to make money in the stock market. I don't know of any way to trade John Ashcroft either short or long.

If you do an IHUB search on "ZTTP" you will find the Zeev Political Topics Thread where you are welcome to thrash out the rights and wrongs of the Republicans, Democrats, Whigs, Tories, and whether Ross Perot would have made a good president or a great president. There are always people willing to argue any topic or point of view there.
