#23368 RE: crabbybill #23362

Hi Crabby,

Nice way to look at it.

the production of 508 pounds of concentrate in 491 hours of mill operation means an average of 1.035 pounds of concentrate was produced per mill operating hour during that first 491 hours

I'd like to take those numbers a little further, if you don't mind. Since the silver:gold ratio on War Eagle is 15:1, that means ~1 oz of that will be gold. At $1330, that's $1330/hr just for the gold. As confirmed by Bobby Joe (thanks, and welcome back!), the mill will be producing $1330 x 24 x 30 = $957,600 per month just in gold! I had also been calculating around $1M/month using a more roundabout method, but your way is more elegant!

And that, of course, is for numbers from the initial startup phase of the mill. As you note, any improvement in tpd, extraction efficiency, or ore grade (all three should greatly improve from startup) will make those numbers a lot larger. The switch from 0.75 to 2.45 oz/t ore alone will bring that number to over $3M!
