It would indeed be interesting to know who is shorting, but with our present reporting requirements, that is virtually impossible to find out. I don't concern myself too much with short positions in a stock, as I've found that's usually a dysfunctional concern, and 90% of the "short" comments on message boards are a bunch of hooey. (Personally, as regards "you and me", I neither short nor consider writing covered calls "shorting".)
