MNTA - institutional ownership
is aprox 68%, insiders control about 13% (nasdaq) for a total of 81% of shares

shorts represent aprox 9 million shares for a total of 20% of float.

The questions is how much do private shareholders have? and why the very high short percentage.

I can imagine that certain institutions have shorted a percentage of their holdings...i cannot believe that investors like you and me are shorting the stock here.
