Yup, there are a ton of people on these boards who don't understand those daily short reports. They place way too much emphasis on them and not enough on the bi-weekly short interest report and the Reg SHO list.

I can't verify it for the whole month but check out the following FTD stats.

Oct 25th====3,500,000=====3,495,000========(2/3)

Oct 20th====1,000,000=====1,000,000========(1)

This is not to say that other days when .0002s are traded, they are not in the total FTD, it is just I don't have the trades listed in order to separate them from the .0001s.
