for us it is T+3, but is this also the case for MM...or can they avoid T+3 (manipulation Trade date etc) so the have more days to cover or to be shareholder on record date

Air shares never settle into the account... they are IUOs only, and remain so. But if your broker has record of your purchase three or more days before 9/30... someone's got some 'splainin to do.
