Weby Let Me Ask You A Question.

If the Dell Computer business relationship is as promising as it appears, then is the revenue issue irrelevant over the long haul?

As a follow up: Won't all of us know in about six months time whether the Dell Computer deal is significant or not?

Personally, I think both answers must be "YES".

Thanks in advance.

Weby,

Isn't it strange that we do not have a date for year-end results, but have an analyst meeting scheduled? I am sure they would like to know some numbers. Maybe we will get some guidance on the numbers.

Weby, some clarification on 1.1 vs 1.2...

According to Dell, it's not at all apparent that 1.1 machines have been delayed or slowed down by the unavailability of 1.2. This may of course be a smokescreen to conceal Dell's real plans with 1.2, but I don't think the slow launch of 1.1 machines has had anyting to do with waiting around for 1.2. I think the industry is just generally slow in getting any new technology into the market. Evidently SKS was correct in his cc statement.

This is the message to their enterprise customers interested in trusted computing:

• The Latitude D410, D610, D810 and Dell Precision Mobile Workstation M20 and M70 will continue to ship with TPM version 1.1b during the lifecycle of the products. There are no plans to update the TPM to version 1.2 when it becomes available later this year.
• Dell may consider launching TPM 1.2 enabled systems with new platform introductions later this year.
