Sadly I would have to agree here. On the outset it may sound like a great proposal, but this could be the first stroke of the company's undoing by attracting to itself lawsuits for that $50,000. I would love to see the papers the families have to fill out in order to apply for and redeem the money.

PPS hasn't done much.

dianebRN, that claim is availed regardless to the guarantee offering should one elect to sue. Corcell is offering the best possible solution immediatedly following the slim chance the stem fails: Money. Again, it costs $35k on the flipside of the banking coin. Where is the medical communities outrage?

Litigants have a claim regardless and everyone from bank to transplant center would likely be sued. That is a completely seperate matter and has absolutely zero to do with the guarantee. It is not a payoff "Go away" it is to help defray those known mountain of costs to get a replacement stem from the NMDP a $35k fee... Again, where is the outrage? Does the NMDP offer a guarantee their stem will be free of disease or will not fail? No.
