I once worked with a guy, Trevor, who, in all honesty, must have been a leading contender in the world's stupidest man contest. If we ever experience a calcium shortage, it's because this guy has so much stored in his head: it must be solid bone!
Anyway, we'd spend countless hours trying to teach him the simplest things, often without success. He'd test the patience of Mother Teresa! But what do you think happened once the light finally went on?
He became the expert.
Yes, he'd pontificate endlessly. He'd bestow his newly acquired knowledge as if it were gifts from Heaven. He seemed to have no idea that those whom he was 'teaching' were the same people who struggled endlessly to present the material in a manner simple enough for him to understand.
I'm glad he's not in my life anymore.
Whenever I encounter this type of behaviour, I say I've been Trevorised. The Commander knows exactly what I mean.
