Better yet, make your #1 goal character-building.

I actually agree with this 100%. Building character is not just about looking out for number one but protecting number one while at the same time protecting the overall integrity of the markets. We can only make money in the markets if the markets are safe for us and others to participate. There are reports out that retail investors are pulling their money from the markets. They are doing so because they do not trust the markets. Getting conned in penny stocks, and by self-serving shareholders, only exacerbates the markets bad reputation and if our future “buyers” leave the markets we are left with an inability to sell what we own. If too many get stiffed in the Pinkies the Pinkie investor pool dwindles. You see that every day as more and more vow to never invest in the pinks again.

I have never felt it responsible to take a bad bet I made and try and pass it on to the next guy by lying about the value of the investment to another. If I bought into a con, I own the loss. I don’t hype a known con as being a great investment to others just because I want to artificially inflate a stock long enough so I can bail out. That is called a stock promoter.

So in the mind set of character building I came to BEDA and dispelled those false and misleading rumors that this company was massively naked shorted and to the tune of billions of shares. Many here came here based on that exact false hype. Today it appears that BEDA executives were doing exactly the opposite of what they said and have an SEC investigation to show for it. Character building would not be to hype the situation as good but to admit that there are issues and thus present market value is a significant risk; not undervalued.

Yes, you can build character even in the pinkies --- or you can be a stock promoter and earn the respect that becomes a con man stock promoter.

Talon, Maybe not where you were headed but I would like to think I interpreted you correctly. Good character can bring all the true rewards (self respect and monetary profits).
