hi redwards, if you spend enough time on the Yahoo NVEC board, you'll find NVEC prior art for patents by everybody: HPQ, FSL, CY, you name it. But whether NVEC has strong enough IP is probably not the real question. The important question, imho, is whether anybody can get MRAM off the ground fast enough to displace the existing oligarchy of RAM. That's why I took heart in the recent CY sampling announcement, but it's also why Zeev didn't - he thinks the physics is just too tough, and he is a physicist <g>

The super-hot smartphone (or PDA/phone) from HP might be released as soon as April 2005.

Pocketpcdubai.com says that they got the information from HP Middle East. I think that this is a bit optimistic, but I would certainly not complain about getting my hands on this gadget sooner rather than later.

This pocketPC/Phone is significantly smaller than other Personal Digital Assistants from HP ($). It is a bit bigger than the Treo 650 ($), but does not have an antenna.
