The known toxicity problems with ITMN-191 could not possibly have predated VRUS’ interest in developing a purine nuke, which goes back at least 4.5 years to when VRUS licensed IP from Emory University and the University of Georgia in Feb 2006:

Thus, your thesis that VRUS developed PSI-938 at the behest of Roche does not appear to have any merit.
