Daily short volume means nothing even when only 9.6% :-D

Class is in session ;-) When it is big it is good and when it is low it is good? lolzzz - MEANS NADA - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

GRNO - 9.6% SHORT 20100809/GRNO/34013/351256

I'd say this is good, but not sure with a 20% drop in pps... analysis please.

Well, not sure if it means much, but it's still fun to look at. As for today's action, I didn't watch any of it, but based on some buyers' comments and the trade history, it was pretty apparent it was shares being passed around. People were having trouble getting orders filled partially or even completely, yet the PPS consistently walked down all day. If it walks down, it means supply is greater than demand. If orders aren't being filled, then that's obviously not the case. No one was even bid whacking, the MMs were just passing around it.

I suppose that if real orders weren't being filled, there were few opportunities to short. That might be the correlation between the MM shuffle and low short volume.

Hi Tigger...how far back can we look at daily short volume? I would check but am on my iPhone at an appointment...might be interesting to look at the data for EVCC right before the squeeze...just thinking out loud here :-)

I look at the low % Short as another good thing. First, check the Chi-Osc on the chart, Chi-Osc is MM activity. Chi-Osc is down significantly which means they're selling inventory they bought on the way up. They're doing this for a reason, to instill fear ... now add that to the low Finra Data and it makes perfect sense -- THEY'RE RUNNING OUT OF SHARES TO SHORT, so they dump their on-hand inventory in hopes of finding sellers.

Hang tight Boys and Girls, the Bashers/Hedge Funds are going to get their panties in a bunch over the next few weeks as the Oven kicks into Self-Clean Mode and the Temperatures reach 900 Degrees Fahrenheit, you better believe they're starting to sweat. The signs of Desperation are clear, Hold Those Shares Tight!!
