Brightness, I was quite aware of the date. I am not sure that what we did in Afghanistan was or was not correct but the point of that article was great care needed to be used and I think that we have created enemies that we did not need to create. Maybe that was an impossibility to avoid. One point I am sure of we are entangled in a mess there and the American media is not reporting it. I am sure that your friendly democracy is not possible and more than likely will not be in the next 50 years. One major key is peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. With the current leadership of both sides that will not be possible either. Now GW is heading us into another potential nightmare. We may be become so entangled we will never be able to avoid making enemies and we will see a steady stream of body bags entering the US as our national wealth bleeds. It's a game of chess and I do not think I would trust GW to play checkers when our country is at stake.
