RE: Supreme Court.

As usual you are misinterpreting my intent. I didn't start this. I know that Gore lost (fair and square is another argument). It wasn't Me who made the post glaoting that "Gore lost another recount", it was you guys. It wasn't me talking about why don't the republicans give up on this issue, it was you guys going on about how WE aren't giving up on this issue. As I recall, no Democrat on this board has even mentioned this until now. It's not the Democrats which are keeping this thing going, it's you guys, and you're inability to face up to the fact that you have a dunce for a president, and if you quit talking about Clinton/Gore, you will have a hard time trying to defend HIM.

Oh, and spall, The supreme court ruled 7 to 2 that the recount violated Florida's CURRENT election laws (because they were left deliberately vague), but DID NOT say that a recount was illegal 7 to 2. As a matter of fact, almost every opinion stated that the Florida laws were too vague, and could NOT be complied with, and the order was to clarify and then resume counting, with the restrictions making that impossible, as I stated before. Of course YOU only want to cite the part of the ruling that was agreed upon 7 to 2, but that was a DEEPLY divided opinion, and it WASN'T 7 to 2 throughout. This reminds me of the discussion you have been having with meme, where she KEEPS pointing out other reasons for an increase in revenues OTHER than a tax cut, and you keep replying that that's all well and good, but what other reasons OTHER than a tax cut could there be? You have a wonderful gift for ignoring anything which doesn't agree with you.

Oh, and also by the way, spall, you're going to have to face it sooner or later - you're a republican. A right-wing one, but a republican none the less. If it makes you feel better about yourself to think not, then go ahead, but in spite of your protestations that you are libertarian, we all know better.

Re: Supreme Court- Spallz/Pat

"If not inner peace, at least its a step toward facing reality." I face the reality every day when I click on Yahoo finance dot com. Somehow it's not giving me much inner peace these days though.<g> The deadline for the options market is March 16th, The FED needs to act before then or Wall street is going to take a great big healthy sh!t in this administrations lunch box. The FED is scheduled to meet March 20th, which is about 4 days to late. So my crystal ball is predicting an early interest reduction, or a lot more of the R word if they don't get thier sh!t together. Personally I don't give a rats ass what happened 4 months ago I'd like to see some prudent fiscal policy now so that in June everyones mutals and 401 K's aren't showing negative numbers. My poitician is better than your politician, Nan Nah Nan Nah Nan Nah. The proof is in the pudding and my pudding is the bottom line. I've already seen more red ink in the last 4 months than I've seen in the last 4 years. Wall street simply has no confidence in this administrations ability to have a sound fiscal policy.
