Maheu isn't really dead. He is underground ensuring the payout for all of the believers. I hear that he outed the Russian spies, is on a first name basis with the Queen, and has lunch every Wednesday with Hodges. The Sultan of Dubai is also known to be best friends with Maheu and I hear he now has control of all funds.
