Ha yeah, I don't think I ever caught one out of CR, but definietly caught my share out of Nootka sound area. The day I got my 41 my dad had one too, 45 or 46 I can't remember but it was a little bit bigger than mine. The thing is, from my experience anyways, the big guys don't give up much of a fight and you just kinda drag em in lol.
My dad had a 17' Whaler, but sold it probably 10 years ago and I haven't gone out since then. Doesn't help that I moved to the East Coast of the states either. He's looking to buy a new Grady I think, and once he does, I'll be booking my trip back home! Thing is, the guy looks and looks for the perfect boat/car/truck/etc and it can take him YEARS to find what he wants lol....
