Merck has shown us time and time again that it has such a huge piggybank (of waste) that it can just turn off the waste spigot and control earnings.

While the top-line is important, many of these guys would prefer to waste the proceeds rather than raise the ire of the public.

I'm not bashing Pfe, but if there was ever a pharma that was too big to be efficient it's them.
