I'd really like to do that, but you, yourself, have pointed out the difficulty. Words are cheap. You've used them before to get out of jail. How can we make this incident the last.

Yes, words are cheap. But you won't let me out of jail so that I can demonstrate my ability to become a productive member, and you just said that there is nothing I can say that will get me out of jail.

So that creates a dilemma. How am I supposed to get out of jail? How do I convince you that I can behave?

Myself and others have said that you should just let me out of jail and see if I behave. That, I believe is the solution. If I should get jailed again, I'll sit in here as long as you want me to and I'll discuss my bahvior in a serious manner.
