it connects to people who could be potential buyers or customers which is very important in increasing sales and revenues for businesses especially when they don't need to remember phone numbers but easy memorable keyword.

for example, someone here has their contact as text ABC to go800. I read over that post and I STILL remember that contact information and not even need to remember the phone number or even jot it down.

that's how this whole easy to remember concept should work.

This is an unbelievable wrong conclusion.
If that was the case, there would never have been a 1-800 number.
The opposite is true, my friend,
GO800 is a short cut and more personalized way for the old 1-800.
Vendors DO want to talk to someone intereted in their product.
Come on.

If I was a pizza place I would want to own the keyword "pizza"

On Friday night many young and older people want to order out!!

Text pizza!! I would WANT ALL THE CALLS I could get!! Who cares what the price was!!

An area code about $150.00 a month!! 5-6 pizzas a month is all it costs!!

And you make how many more sales!!

I'm not sure I understand why they would want to deflect calls. Any type of traffic in the direction of your company should be regarded as a positive. I find it odd that a big wig company wools be very cocsrned with their phone bill in the big scheme of things...

and they did a damn fimne job of pissing off almost every american in the country by doing so. these same companies have lost tons of business by having call centers where english is NOT the 1st languaqge. and the last time i was put on hold cost the company i was calling 3300,00 dollars, i hung up and went with the first company who had a person and voice on the other end. and that was for sheet rock and 2x4's, not important to home depot but it was to me. a local mom and pop lumber yard got the biz.

this service puts ME in contact with the company i text to 46800, granted we are "start up mode" AND NOT ALL have registered their keywrds yet, but they will.
