That's one way to look at things.

Another way to look at this is that there is "bad money" and "good money". The bad is what was invested in C/S to date. The good is the new money that will be injected into the process via the BK process. It's possible the judge thinks in these terms, and that he already wrote off the "bad money" and is concentrating on the "good money" alone.

g7,this isn't over by a long shot in my opinion!I have been reading the pr's over a few times just to make this opinion.Any way you look at it the bod/visteon have alot of hurdles they have to clear and there will be road blocked all the way.The judge only gave them the signal they can precede.This will take alot more time especially if ms/hf file an appeal.Then there's valuation in visteon.Which will definetly be a major issue all by its self.That should get the c/s more $.Revenues from ford are about 27% of visteon business which equates to 2.5 billion$ approx based on estimates for 2010.Wouldn't it make financial sense to acquire visteon back. Not to mention hyudai/kia/nissan etc.Food for thought!Is jci a dead issue or is that offer still on the table.tia glta

I sure hope some form of that finds its' way into the appeal.
Something I'd like to hear the attorneys ask about Monday: SM in the auto parts sector have gotten raises. They got those raises because they raised their company's value. SM just gave themselves raises. [1st?]Have they raised companys value? [2nd?]How much have they raised the value? [3rd?]They are documenting that assertion how? All asked quietly and nonchalantly.

I'd be very surprised in their claimed increase in value, the $ in the bank and JCI's bid didn't sink or blow-up the values in the POR.
But, I'm just an ignorant C/S, so what do I know?
