I don't see how a person could read it any other way. At least this guy and this guy get it. There are tons of similar stories which have been posted following Computex that talk about it. Try Google.

And in case you're not yet convinced, here is yet another summary from Intel that highlights software support across operating systems for Atom.

Lots of talk about Intel supporting various platforms on Atom.

Nothing in here about any specific Intel effort to get Wintel apps running on non-Windows OS.

Remember, my first post on this subject was about how, when using one of these non-Wintel level-playing-field alternative platforms, the Wintel-codebase-advantage disappears.
