After an impressive two-goal comeback against Slovenia that retained their position in second place in Group C, USA heads into their third group game with the knowledge that a victory guarantees a spot in the knockout phase.
They face an Algerian team with everything to play for following their 0-0 draw with England, knowing that a victory could still be enough to see them through.
Kickoff at Loftus Versfeld Stadium is set for 4 p.m. in South Africa (10 a.m. ET).
