LOL, now it looks like your just aiming for anything that you can. LOL, this will speed up orders because the cook does not have to wait for the waiter to walk back with the orders. The waiters can just go from table to table knowing that the cook has already started cook the order.

You obviously have never worked in a kitchen at a busy restaurant. It definitely helps get the food out faster if you get the order faster. LOL!!!

You are looking at the bun and missing the beef.

LCRE's software, and how they deploy it, makes for a "web-based" POS (point of sale) system that will cost far less than an in-house proprietary system. If it helps speed table turn over during rush hour thats just a bonus!

Lecere's F.I.R.M.S software is not some app that runs on a handheld. There is a back end system in the internet "cloud" at the heart of the operation. When data enters the the point of use (handheld) it is transmitted via the internet to a sever. There the data is stored and parsed and sent on a monitors at the bar and kitchen. So while the waitress is politely yucking it up with the customers, the drinks are being prepared and chef is putting the steaks on the grill. The restaurant doesn't have to purchase any expensive proprietary hardware or software. The computer power and software are "in the cloud". The restaurant pays for Lecere's product/service on a per ticket or receipt basis.

All the large chain restaurant have expensive in house systems. There are thousands of non-chain restaurants where purchasing such expensive systems (think initial cost, maintenance, upgrading, replacing) are just not cost effective. This is where Lecere's idea is a game changer. Small restaurants will be able to use computer technology in their business's without the headaches that come with it. Using it, they will become more productive and hence more profitable. Eventually large chains will follow suit.

yes, you're absolutely right. chefs cannot cook faster than they already can. but you're missing the point. the wait staff is able to get the orders back to the kitchen faster, therefore allowing the cooks to start the order sooner.
