Exactly. That is the exact question any rational investors are asking about JBII. Sales are it. You can talk to a VC all day about your amazing, superior, quality (and other subjective but meaningless adjectives) product all day. But if you want the VC's ears to perk up, mention (truthfully) that you have actual sales to a real customer at a commercially-viable price. Everything else is widely recognized as dancing.
Does CEO Mr. Bordynuik have any official, publicly stated reason why he is not producing and selling right now? Or is everything we know about JBII's status just words that he privately whispered to his faithful and patient followers, such as the mysterious, highly-contentious and constantly debated air permit? You can bank on the air permit not being the real roadblock to JBII's success. And unlike the thought process around here, it certainly isn't information that's posted on this board which is hindering JBII's progress--words here will have no bearing on whether Mr. Bordynuik is a liar or not and whether or not he has a commercially viable product.
What is the official word from JBII on why he is not powering up his reactor right now and producing and selling fuel to his (as his story goes) willing and eager customers? (sarcasm) Maybe the problem is that CEO Mr. Bordynuik is simply unaware that any rational investors might want to know the current status of JBII's 'operations.' (/sarcasm)
As in all scams similar to JBII, the swindler running the scam can't really deliver so he has to delay and still keep investors believing it's right around the corner.
