Sorry but I can't help you there with "marking it down." The hell with anyone who has no respect for the chain of command. My dad was a Lt Col in the USA. He taught me respect and I have taught my son the same thing when we visited Arlington Cemetery recently.

I have little use for anyone who has no respect for the CIC. It is Memorial Day weekend and despite political differences we should respect the Consititution.

That is what our fallen have fought for.

I'm a Veteran, my Father was a Korean War Veteran, my Uncle was a Vietnam War Veteran, and we all served honorably. I know many Veterans that like the current President. Many progressives serve today in the Armed Forces. And they believe that our dependance on Big Oil is serving our enemies, and fight for green solutions that many on the Right, fight against. My Father was a Liberal, and served 7 years in the Air Force, mostly in Alaska, as a meteorologist. You are no authority on the political persuasions of Veterans, or those currently serving our Country. The military is made up of a whole cross current of American society, including some non-citizens.
Our last President had an administration that destroyed the fabric of sound government, and American society, and his oversight set this country back 30 years. You don't represent either the Marines nor the Military. You only represent yourself, and while I thank you for the service of people in your family, you better learn to respect the service of the many other people in the Armed Forces that don't agree with your narrow, pompous attitude. Don't claim that you speak for the Military. You make yourself sound like a jackass.

I take it you admired 5-Deferments Cheney when his country needed him - the Vietnam war. And I take it you admired Little Bush, who with daddy's connections, "protected" Alabama from enemy attack when his country needed him - the Vietnam war.

I recently toured our Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and our tour guide, a retired Navy admiral, said Pres Obama was the FIRST president ever to use the name of every graduating cadet when he officiated at their graduation in 2009.
