Well said. My dad served in WWII and my brother in Vietnam. My dad a lifetime democrat retired from the USA with the rank of Lt Col. He taught his sons to have respect for the military the president and our country. I've passed the same things down to my son. Though I'm no fan of Bush and what he did to this country, I won't allow my son so say anything bad about the former president. History and the facts will determine his fate.
You are no authority on the political persuasions of Veterans, or those currently serving our Country. The military is made up of a whole cross current of American society, including some non-citizens.
It's infuriating isn't it? I don't understand where these chickenhawks get the idea that they have a monopoly on patriotism or military service. People from all walks of life join the military for a variety of reason and for the repubs to claim that liberals don't serve their country just shows their level of ignorance.
And they believe that our dependance on Big Oil is serving our enemies
A group of vets just cut an ad tackling this exact issue.
