What you're saying is that investors should be restricted from having current info on the company's activities. I completely disagree.
It's not insider info unless he, as an employee, has an NDA or some such clause in his employment agreement, as far as I know. In any case, couldn't you have told him that via PM instead of making it potentially worse by calling him on the carpet for all to see?
