ya know.... i'm certain its more complicated than this, but......
if commons are ratcheting up nicely, which they are, the train of thought probably is that the consensus is they have a better chance of being in the money.
why, possibly wouldnt preferreds be escalating as well, since GUARANTEED they will certainly receive a payout of sort before commons, period. no ifs ands or butts about it.???
