Personally I'd like it if there were NO loopholes, and everyone including small and big business just payed 1 flat rate.
The same percentage is the same percentage. I'm all about equality, but by no means a socialist. Here's just a short pet-peave list on taxes.
cigerette tax- how much more can a rich person smoke than a poor person?
gasoline tax- see above except add drive.
sales tax- Paul Allen may spend more, but is it the same percentage in taxes as the avg man, how much time do you think he spends in oregon avoiding the sales tax? At least 3-4 months.
Bottom line, if Paul Allen makes 100,000,000 and pays 1,000,000 in taxes, then if I make 1,000 dollars then I should only have to pay 10 dollars. One equal flat rate!!!
Which would you rather have? A gazillion more income or more taxes on the gazillionaires??chas
I'd rather have a gazillion more income, but I'd still have the same view on taxes, I should have to pay the same share as everyone else.
