Janice - you used to tell people Naked shorting didn't exist ,except that it was only done by market makers.
Actually I didn't. It used to happen now and then, but normally it wasn't a big deal. It was just traders not bothering to get borrows. Even so, that was sloppy. A second problem, which affected a relatively small number of exchange listed companies, was that options market makers shorted naked to hedge. That was outlawed a year or so ago.
But it's not a factor in the market's basement, the Pinks. We have yet to see ANY Pink stinker prove the naked short position they all love to scream about.
You really need to get away from the conspiracy sites populated by people who don't know what they're talking about.
