No I didn't mean 3/4". I said the minimum size for a lateral as per code is HALF INCH. It's illegal to use smaller than half inch for your lateral branches. There are thousands of pages in the code book. Minimum for a hose bib here is 3/4", Minimum for water heater connections are 3/4". Minimum for branch laterals for a single kitchen fixture or toilet is half inch. It depends on the number of fixtures on a single lateral line, the more you have the larger the pipe but the minimum is half inch.
