Agree....MMs are having fun filling their coffers with cheap shares as they know about the announcement forth coming and will be more than happy to sell them in the rise. Typically MMs like between the bid and ask and make smaller profits, but when they ultimately realize they can quickly turn a much larger profit, they are more than willing to jerk the price around a bit, watch weak personal investors lose faith and sell off, only to gladly sell them back their own shares as the stock sets new highs. They are good at what they do, whey they are there representing much larger firms.
