#22685 RE: MOPAR10R/T #22683

G'm, Lizard friends. Here's todays mostly cooler Spring day W & T...

Current Lizard temps & weather...dpb5: 47*, sunny...FATS: 43*, partly cloudy...EZ2: 41*, mostly sunny...Joe: 52*, mostly cloudy, chance of showers...Lacy: 39*, much cooler, mostly cloudy...Larry: 51*, partly cloudy...Longhorn: 578, mostly sunny...Red: 67*, cloudy, scattered showers...Ron: 41*...

My brain nailed another EZ1 WT!
GL 2 U'll!

Current Temp 47.0 °F Overcast
Wind : West at 5.8 MPH (5 KT) Humidity : 71 %
Pressure : 1014.5 mb
Weather Forecast
Wednesday, April 21st - 6:20 am

Showers have ended around the metro area. However, showers are still falling in the Cascades (snow above 4000 feet) and parts of the Columbia River Gorge. Today, look for partly sunny skies and dry weather for the rest of the day. Daytime highs around 60. Tonight, partly cloudy with lows around 45. Tomorrow will also be dry and partly sunny with highs near 64.

By the way... the National Weather Service has confirmed that the weather episode 20 miles southeast of Burns yesterday afternoon was in fact a downburst-- and NOT a tornado. Downbursts are large areas of rain-cooled air that drop straight down out of thunderstorm (the downdraft area) and spread out when the downburst hits the ground. The speed of the strong , straight-line wind was estimated at 60 miles per hour. (Can't picture this? Imagine a water balloon being dropped from a tall building. It hits the ground, breaks and the pressure and water released spreads out in all directions. ) Downbursts occur mainly in thunderstorms and are rare in the Pacific Northwest.
