the current Spreadtrum TD-SCDMA chips were not the subject of the agreement with IDCC. The royalty bearing products are WCDMA....maybe they'll get to multi-mode (TD-SCDMA+WCDMA) eventually?
Samsung may use Spreadtrum for some lower end TD-SCDMA products, but ST/E, through their subsidiary T3G are the choice for the higher end (and moving to lower end)
