we have reached the point at which there is too much interference in the "capitalist forces".....too much socialist influence....it's a culmination of the damage done over the last century....American capitalism has been purposely choked....
You do not bother reading do you ? ..American capitalism has choked all but itself. Government was stupid to deregulate the banks. BUT it is not governments fault that crooks risked every thing AND lost for short term profits to set up longer term profits and as a result caused the SECOND biggest depression ..Individual corporations did that ... not the government IF you want to reach well then sure go ahead and say .. "Clinton should have never signed Grahm/Leach in 98 " that is the truth. By taking away that legislation it enabled corporatist crooks to rip off the world .. There's your 'unbridled' capitalism.. IT's NOT socialism!
The transfer of wealth in this country has not gone towards the government and/or the majority of it's people it has gone to wealthy corporations and those at the top of the income ladder. Your conclusions are simply not based on facts . Regulation is the only hope for free market capitalism - as we had in the past PRE 1998.. isn't it amazing how it only took a little over 9 years to screw everyone ? Capitalism without regulation is Crookedilism on a jet plane.
