Chris, Andi Kleen, the author of the orginal article had this to say about the Inq piece:
"All I can say is that they badly misinterpreted many of my statements. A lot of the stuff written there has no base in what the slides say. There was also no intention to bash any of the CPU vendors. I guess they were looking for sensations when there weren't any (perhaps a slow news day?)
The only bashing that's in there is some mild (was intended to be funny actually) criticism of the respective marketing departments for the naming mess (x86-64, amd64, x86-64, em64t, ia32e, CT, ... what will VIA and Transmeta come up with?)
