I've always felt a purely electronic system would eliminate the MM BS we see on a daily basis. Let the computer match buys with sells and so forth. Of course, then you'd have to worry about the hacks screwing everything up, but you could work those bugs out...at least it keeps shorty honest.

But I doubt we'd ever see that happen.

It already has happened. That's what ECNs do.
