OT Sherlocke, Turkey is good unless it's massacred regardless of cooking method, however, these are some adv. per my perspective. 1) Cooking time, under an hour for nearly any bird 2) Nice crunchy skin, it's outstanding and excellent moist interior. 3) Cooked outdoors which if at a holiday time eliminates some of the kitchen congestion not to mention the company out in the shop drinkin' beer and discussing items not of interest to the female persuasion. 4) LBNL, a gobbler is good almost anytime no matter how it's prepared, over easy or straight up! I highly recommend you get a turkey cooker, I think every man should have one.

Choad....OT....thinking of buying a turkey propane deep-fryer.....do they Really taste a lot better than oven-roasted??

Hi Sherlock,
If I can butt in here, I think they are terrific when they are deep fried! I used to think "oily", but that is not the case at all. Put that bird in at the designated temperature and cook for the designated # of minutes per pound and you'll end up with as tender and juicy a bird as you could ever want.

That has been my experience every time.

Your only limitation is the size of the turkey.
