Sure it does if you understand how market makers work. They run the show and manipulate the market at will. If they are in a short position and want to get out of it quick, they will artificially keep the PPS down on the stock until they have finished covering, and then let it go. Bad charts, a gloomy outlook and sells is what they want right now.
