That was another example of an article filled with negative rhetoric, but short of any real content. What did Barney Frank do to deserve such venom? I have to watch an 18 minute video to find out.

I've seen Barney Frank advocate on behalf of the people enough times to know that most of the critics need to dig deep to find dirt.
The point of my post to you was to say that I was glad that you finally acknowledged the need for government. The fact that we have a lousy one (Democrats and Republicans) is too bad, and I agree with you. However, we would most probably have a totally different view on what kind of government is good government.

I agree and disagree. It's kind of like saying that we shouldn't have police departments because there are plenty of bad apples in them (which there are). Well, let's face it, it's better to have police departments than not. Would I be happier if every officer was squeaky clean? You bet I would. Will it ever happen? No. The same goes for government.
