Doma - Let's assume Atmel has decided to go its own way. I'm trying to see who they might turn to. Can't be IBM since they would have liscensed their TSS as well. Infineon seems very unlikely, since they also provide a TSS(not interoperable), some basic TPM software(not interoperable so far) and either way they are the competition. That Atmel has developed its own software seems unlikely to me too, since they would be their only customers for that product and if they went to that trouble why would they deliberately liscense an interoperable TSS and not just develop their own TSS. Also, Wave's tools are the only ones that make it possible to use their server products which are going to be vital looking ahead to TPM 1.2 (and Atmel is looking ahead to TPM 1.2). Noone else that I know of offers these server products or is even working on them. Can it be that liscensing of Wave's software will be done at the OEM level? Isn't this what Wave said they preferred, since the revenue is better for them? Just thinking out loud here. Regards, Foam
